A LOOK AT 2024

A LOOK AT 2024  [t-h-i-n-k]

Each year in mid-late December I conduct an audit. The “audit” is my year-end review:  the highs, the lows, the things I wished I had finished, the surprise successes and the lessons learned. The practice of reviewing your artistic year isn't just about tallying up sales or counting exhibitions—it's a crucial ritual that helps you understand your creative journey and shape your future path. By examining what you created, what resonated with your audience, and where you faced challenges, you gain invaluable insights into your artistic development. Think of it as creating a map of your creative landscape: every completed painting, each breakthrough (that may have started as a “mistake”), and even the projects that didn't quite work out are important landmarks. This information is important as we turn the page to January:  it reveals patterns in your work habits, illuminates your strengths, and highlights areas where you might need to grow.
